i'm not bitchin, lol

but i do hate when people post up wanting big power out of their 4.9l's if you want big horse power you have to go with big blocks. ( no replacement for displacement)

if more people would come to realize what this motor was designed to do you would hear less complaints about it.

this motor was made to haul and pull. not fast.
i locked chains with my dads 84' with a built 351w and the same np435 and 208 i'm running on my 4.9l in my 95. and i pulled him around like he was not even there. ( his excuse " your fuel injected and i'm carbed" lol)

they dont call this motor a stump puller for nothing.

5 transmissions, 3 rear ends, 2 driveshafts and only one motor replaced. I'd say it works better than the parts it rips apart.

LOL i do have to say i just did the same thing the other day with toro68s f150 we where trying to jump the clutch to get it started i pulled it and was just like i was driving down the road normally. love the L6s you can haul anything anywhere (if equipped) its a nice solid motor. i chose reliability over speed. granted i want to squeeze every bit of torque out of the engine. so far a bigger exhaust and a K&n drop in filter.

Yeah I did run a scan and posted the codes on an earlier post. One was an egr code but I don't know what the other two are. I'm still learning and isn't that what forums are for?

31 is EGR sensor low voltage out. 67 is the ac clutch power I think. I had a 31 and it was the valve itself, if your idle is set right, disconnect the IAC, plug the vacuum line and you put 10inches of vacuum on the valve the engine should stall, if it does egr valve is good look elsewhere.
