I put it on a scanner and it threw no codes but it wasn't the best scanner
But plan on trying it again. The gear ratio is the stock 3.23 and elevation iss sea
Level. The truck has the towing package with the extra trans cooler. Note it does
Have 35 inch goodyear mtrs but I don't think they should drag it down. I'm going to try
The kick down cable going to the tranny and get back with yall

The EO4D tranny doesn't have a "kickdown cable". The tranny is controlled by the ECM.

Those 35s will drag it down a lot.

If so, swap tires with him and give it a try. Your problem will be apparent.
I was kind of afraid I was going have to go with a shorter gear. The next question is that will I have to change the front axle gear also

The install won't be hard cause I've done many gear changes on mustangs
And with those I pulled the whole rear end. On the truck I could probaly do it in the
Truck. Next question is both front and rear gears are they the same ratio. If not how should
I stagger them. An also the truck is manly used for hunting and work so I don't put no miles
On my mach 1. It will see a alot of highway use at most 45 miles one way. What gear
Do you suggest

Actually there is a kickdown cable that runs from the throttle body to a electrical
Box up on the drives side fender that tells the computer what to do. Its not like the old aod's
Were it goes to the tranny.

My fault you are right that is the cruise control because in my 95 gt I had the same thing
When I got the car I thought it was a kickdown cable but I had a manual trans I didn't know what it
was for at that time. Thanks for the correction.

I would change the gearing to 4:56 in the rear and front. There is a way to change the tranny shift points to make it shift better but you only have 6 times to change it then the PCM stays at that constant. I wouldnt go that route since I changed mine and still wasnt happy and I have a 351 with 3:55 gears. I used to turn overdrive off everytime I drove it and it did help but I got tired of screwing around and just changed gears to 4:56 and everythings good now and changed my constant on the PCM back to original. Your tranny will thankyou!!!
