I do not think that is the case but I do not know for sure.

What I do know is this: Before I gutted the front cat (other was removed) I changed the O2 sensor, cleared codes. Same code 172 show up. After the cat was gutted the codes were cleared; 172 showed up again.

I believe the problem to be fuel system related. Either the injectors, regulator, or the pump. Could be the pump since it has a rather loud wine. Or, the injectors could be bad, or the regulator. Pressure check is with in specs with the truck idling but I hve not found a way to test it while driving.
