Default Need some help

Trying to build a mild 306 to go into my 1994 xlt SCSB f150, 4wd, 5speed. It will be a daily driver and something to have fun with on the weekends. The only thing wrong with the truck is minor rust around the wheel well, due mostly to living in the north country but this spring the truck will get new fenders and a sonic blue paint job along with a 3" body lift and some 35" Baja claws.... Now down to the real point... I'm looking for tips on how I should build the engine, like which parts I should use so I don't have any malfunctions happen. I know a little about engines but I'm definitely no professional. Looking for around 400HP... ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED

A body lift is like a woman wearing a padded bra...... False advertising, just say no to body lifts.

Might look nice for awhile but once you find out it's there you'll be disappointed.

The only reason I need a body lift is to fit the 35's I can only fit 33's right now with a 1 1/2" leveling kit in the front. What are the negatives of a body lift?

400hp at tires or crank? makes a major difference.. if at crank your gonna be pushing limits of the factory block.. if at wheels youll bust a block quick...

Crank.. I don't need 400hp I just want around that # if I could put down 350 I'd be happy. The whole engine will be rebuilt from bottom end to top. I have a list of parts I was told would work perfectly together and give me around 350-400hp and it will be a very reliable engine. If I gave the list of parts would that help any? I appreciate any type of information I can get.
