Default Name that bumper

Hi all,

I recently became the owner of a 1996 Eddie Bauer XLT F150. The truck was missing its license plate lights and I've been trying to get them replaced for a couple of weeks. I took the truck to a mechanic, but they told me the bumper is not a Ford. Any idea regarding the make/year of bumper? Maybe it's some aftermarket brand?

Thanks for any and all help you can provide

It looks like it might be off an ecoline van or 97-03 f150

The mechanic called his buddy at the Ford dealer and he could not locate a part number for the bumper (or the lights). He had ordered the standard license plate illuminators and they didn't fit. I've searched ebay and various parts sites but no luck.

Here is the hole in the bumper that is the receiver for the black plastic insert in the first photo of my original post.

I checked some 97 bumpers for sale on ebay and the insert hole is different (smaller with different slots). Note the screws used to hold the insert in place.

I'd just buy the license plate light for a semi. Just some sheet metal screws and your set. Oh and those are definitely off of a newer f150.

I didn't know an 10th gen bumper would fit on a 9th gen truck.
