I have never honestly tried, I usually shift below 2000 RPM.

Hahhaha. This was out on a long *** old straight country road, and it was pedal too the floor all out and thats what it would give me. Running thru some injector cleaner and doing a tune up would probably help it run more efficient for a couple more MPH. Hell the damn thing is 20 years old.

My 300 wont peg... it just wraps all the way around the 85 and keeps going lol.. Ive had it to the "R" in PRND21 but didnt feel safe trying to dig my phone out and take a picture at those speeds in a truck thats 21 years old..

When i took this It was the first day i got the truck, I originally thought my speedometer was 10+ ahead of what it was suppose to be but I recently found its only 2-3 mph off when i went through a speed trap

Holy !

Thats awesome man, I have an M5OD so its probably alot different ratios. I also have 31" tires with 3.55 LS axles so the speedo is about 20% slow... says 44 when going 55....

It's called "blowing out the carbon". It's good to actually use the engine within its limits, just don't over-rev it. I keep mine at or under 4000 RPMs, well I did until I blew it up. lol That is what I've always been told, you need to get on it regularly to keep it running good.

1st-15
2nd-35 or so
3rd-45
4th-60
5th- fastest i have had it was 110mph.

I usually shift at about 3k.

I occasionally hit the rev limiter (5450 rpm)

I was talking to a guy on another forum that his impression was that Fords are stubborn. He said you had to drive them like a $3 hooker in order for them to work their most efficiently and have the most power....

The computer also learns by your driving style, so if you drive like it's a race car it will run more like a race car.

Yeah.. the truck learns driving styles for sure.. My grandpas truck is probably confused as hell every time i drive it lol.. the throttle response sucks when i try driving it because its so use to my grandpa.. which doesnt really drive slow (he got a speeding ticket just last week) but he doesnt gun it off the line like me... so the computers not use to the throttle being hit to hard..

Oh and I have 3.08 gears auto 3 speed trans and stock 235/75 tires... i wen through one of those speed trap things they sit on the side of the road saying speed limit then your speed.. well my guage was reading 60 and it showed 57 then 58 on the radar

See, you have a higher top end than me, but my powerband comes sooner, its a tradeoff.
