Default MAF Conversion

I have an 89 F150 with 5.0. I am wanting to do the MAF conversion. Since it has a C6 not electronic, could I use a computer from a manual mustang?

You know anything about this; http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/megasquirtii-v357-plug-and-play-for-19861993-50-mustang-p-418.html They say you can get rid of the MAF all together, it is not needed with this system.

A PCM from a mustang is tuned more for higher end HP and torque and the opposite for trucks. As long as it works and is re-tuned, I don't see a problem. I can imagine 95' MAF cali emission F-150's are hard to come by while still retaining OBD1 for emissions testing unlike a 96'

The '94-'95 5.0 automatic truck computers will work fine for the swap, that's what you have to use if you want the truck wiring and computer. The computer just won't see a transmission.

and throw a million codes. So many in fact, it would suck to eliminate the false positives every time, is my guess.

I was just asking because I found a 93 Cobra eec iv and 70mm mass air sensor for a good price. Also some Ford blue top 24 lb injectors and a gt40 intake with TB.

I only go by what I've heard since I haven't done the swap myself, and that is that the automatic computer runs the truck just fine.
