kinda wanna fast vehicle I have a 93 f150 ext cab swb with the 351 in it. im thinking about putting the 351 in my flareside but im also debating on a 4bt swap to but heres what I wanting to know should I drop the 302/351 in the truck if I decide to do the 4bt swap or just wait andnget a lightning and just build it up...my buddy has one and hes telling me its really not that fast...
4bt swaps are pretty common... haven't seen a good writeup here but theres a lot floating around online. I remember seeing quite a few over at FSB forums. 4bt is probably your most expensive but I see the most value in it. Lots of low end torque and 35 mpg
So you want to put the 351 in the flat side and the cummins in the truck the 351 came out if? You could just puts good cam in that 351 and slap in some 4.10 gearing in it and have pretty close to the lightning performance. Or you could just build up the 351, rebuild, new heads, cam ect. Build it like or better than the lightning.

yeahh I really would like to do the 4bt swap in my step side. there is always lightning for sale around here but do yall think it would be more cost efficient to just beef up the 351? and yall think the 351 would be better than the 302 for speed?

Thats my Boy!!!! My brother and my best friend are GM Fanboys, and you know how GM Fanboys are, they are always right, and truck they drive is perfect. They both drive 1500's with the 5.3 & 4x4 and it kills me everyday. They always crack little "f.o.r.d." jokes and ****. And what sucks too is I only drive a 2wd long bed 4.9L so its not even like I can really show them up...
