You need to be careful where you put the resistors because they will heat up.

Also not everyone who works at a part store are idiots. I have worked as a master diesel mechanic, an auto mechanic, and also have worked at a part store. So sometimes we are a lot smarted than our customers who have no clue what they need. So you might want to reconsider that anyone statement.
I do have to say you should find a trusted autoparts store like i did i know a few people who work at the local advanced so i go there becouse i know they have worked on cars before. hell one guy has a sick mustang and a old f250 he restored along with another kid who has 5 fearos and is doing a frame off restoration.

Collector you’re absolutely right there are some that work at the part stores that shouldn’t be let out without a keeper. So you do need to pick one that at least has one or two people that you can trust. I'm in the process of building a 485hp 351W to put in my 92 Flareside if I can get motivated enough to finish it.lol

Interior LED lights would be nice. They're too damn expensive to get good ones for. I don't care enough about my tail light bulbs and side marker bulbs to want to spend 10 bucks a bulb + resistors. Seems like a waste of money to me.

If they were the same price though I'd be all over it

Can you post a pic of your dome light? If it's like mine I can tell you.

Dash lights are as simple as pulling out the cluster and replacing the bulbs. Your cluster should be held in with some torx screws and just have 2 or 3 wire harnesses on the back. Mine has a speedo cable, which is why I haven't replaced my dash lights with blue LED

Why would you need resistors? The flasher controls the speed of the blink. When hooking up the additional lights of a trailer you have to switch to a heavy duty flasher so they blink correctly. Wouldn't a heavy duty flasher take care of that for the LEDs too?

i think the problem is that the leds use less power so they stay on instead of blink, all i know is there is an led compatible flasher you need for it to work with older vehicles. i just don't know if they would work if you plug them it but i don't see why not

So the easiest lights to swap are gonna be the interior lights then. When you pull off the part of the dash that civers everything, what do uhave to pull off after that to get to the gauge lights?

if you have the 95 f150 it says in your signature, the plastic lens just clips off, then you can access the bulb, or remove the whole fixture using a screw driver. best of luck.
