Default LED Help

Anyone converted their bulbs to LED's? The guy at Autozone said "My system cant handle it, theyll heat up and melt the housing." LED's dont give off heat. He said I'd have to get some adpater too. I'd like to convert to LED's, but is it possible? Also wheres a good place to buy them? Thank you

anyone who works at an autoparts store isn't smart enough to work for a mechanic shop... he's full of crap, i have LEDs in every connection except the rear blinkers and brake lights.. you will not have a problem with heat or fitment...

wow the only problem you WOULD have is if you kept the stock light bulb in and put the led next to the STOCK light bulb if you replace everything you should be fine. the blinker and side markers will be fine.

you may need to pick up a flasher resistor so the led will actually blink but they make them so its no big deal. I plan on converting my truck to full LED and that is the only problem i have run into, that and the price...

supebrightleds.com is really good. they even have a bulb finder

superbrightleds.com ... if you install LED blinkers, you will need a resistor for each LED bulb you put in, inline..

When you convert your blinkers to LED you need to put a resistor across the bulbs because sometimes they will blink fast or not blink at all.
You need to be careful where you put the resistors because they will heat up.

Also not everyone who works at a part store are idiots. I have worked as a master diesel mechanic, an auto mechanic, and also have worked at a part store. So sometimes we are a lot smarted than our customers who have no clue what they need. So you might want to reconsider that anyone statement.
