Default How to clear codes

I changed my tps sensor because that was the code that I pulled up, unhooked the battery and everything but the code keeps returning, I was wondering is there a why to reset the ecm

Unhook the wire while it's reading codes and that should clear them.
Did you test (and possibly adjust) the TPS signal, or just shove it in ?

All the sensors I've seen are pre set non adjustable

You didn't say what year your truck is, but the earlier ones had to be turned to dial them in while checking the signal with a voltmeter.

Even the "non adjustable" TPS can still be adjusted by loosening the screws and rotating it slightly in the mounting hole, a slight movement clockwise or counter can have a huge adjustment in the readings. Like chris said, but not sure on what years, some do require inserting the TPS then rotating 180* in order to achieve proper readings.

But is there a way that I can reset ecm returning the factory setting besides unhooking the battery

Just because you got that code doesn't mean it was the sensor that was bad. You didn't fix it, that's why the code keeps coming back.

I changed the the sensors that's why I'm tripped out about it, I know that on some vehicle your memory has to be cleared after repairs
