it connects from both arrows, but the hose is missing

i think that is the control for the Ac unit but I can't say for sure i dont have ac in my truck...

That is the recirculate door, which picks inside air or outside air to be blown in the cabin.

Getting it fixed is up to you. Only actuates when Max A/C is selected. Not fixing it means that the air will likely divert to the defrost or floor under acceleration whenever Max A/C is selected.

It's a typical point of failure - fix the hose, and you should be good-to-go.

That doesn't control where the air comes out, just where it comes from. Default is outside air. You just need a piece of vacuum hose, fix it.

all the fords i've ever had if that hose is broke or cracked then the flow of air goes to the defrost. it has never mattered if it was on air or heat. of course that could be because it lets the vac. from the main lines drop down. all i know is fix that line and you'll have air blowing out the vents and not just the defrost.
