Default help please

hi all.
i have had this truck for about two weeks now. when i bought it i was told the front tanks fuel pump was bad. for as much as i drive i need both tanks to work. so i dropped the front tank and replaced the pump. atex aftermarket 130 bucks.
i put the truck back together and it will now not start on either tank. it cranks and cranks but wont start. i put a gauge on the fuel rail to test the pressure i have 40psi when key is on and 45 when cranking. i tested with both tanks and they are the same readings. i am in need of help to figure this out. when i turn the key on i can hear the pump work on either of the tanks i have selected.

Need more info. Year/ engine.

May have run injectors dry.

Did you try depressing the shrader valve on the fuel rail to void any air?

Try pouring a little gas or spray started fluid into the air intake manifold?

See if it has spark. And you always at least get code 11 or 111. Repull codes and make sure your doing it right.

On the no spark condition, try heading upstream on spark & check before distributor from coil itself. I'm leaning towards a Coil Problem.

So you actually know how & tried pulling codes & did not even get a 11 or 111?

Your truck is OBD1, Not OBD2. So there could be codes present w/o a CEL. On OBD1's, if the test is done correctly, you will receive "some" code(s). At the least, a 11 or 111 meaning the test was completed successfully & no error codes are present.

If you don't get any codes at all, including 11/ or 111, it implies ECU failure. Rare, but does occur.
