Default Help Identify a Part

Found a hose/wire that got cut off under the hood. I am not sure what it is for. Please help me identify it, so I can decide whether to fix it or not.

Yes fix it, that the outside recirculate vac line to circulate the outside air in the cab for A/C and Defrost.

That looks like the thingamajig that changes your vents in the truck from floor to vents to defrost. Is your heat and air stuck on defrost?

No, it switches from vent to defrost.

It does that because of the vacuum leak, that isn't what it controls.

Yea I thought it was for the vents and whatnot. I was wrong, I didn't know for sure but I knew it was for the climate system somehow.

I think he's saying it switched vents properly. Although it wouldn't 100% switch because of the vacuum leak I would imagine
