Default Help with Axle/Differential angle (pics)

When i got this truck a few months ago, I thought the axle angle was a little too high. Differential cover pointing down. I had a shaft break a few weeks ago possibly due to too much angle. Got the shaft fixed & back on. last night, my son pulled a chevy out of the mud, and it appears that the angle has worsened and is causing an unneccesary u-joint angle. Is it difficult to straigten it back to eliminate the angle at the joint? see pics below. Thanks for any help.

Look at the spring perches. I can only see one in the picture and I cant see it very well. Make sure they are not broken in the middle or pulled off at the welds. If they are ok then take the shims out. I think I can see one in there and it looks like a good sized one. I would put new U-bolts in while taking this apart. I am almost willing to bet you will find a broken spring perch or a broken lift block.

More pics. I think i can see part of the problem. Broken U-bolt bracket up top (is that even the right size bracket?) Lots of gap under the rear of the block and axle.

The center pin appears broken. I can see where the block and shim look like they slid foward. Check that. There is a pin on the bottom of the block that centers it in the spring perch.

I don't like the looks of any of that, but I see one definite problem. The U-bolt bracket is facing the wrong direction, needs to be rotated 90 degrees. It has no strength in that direction, probably why it is cracked.
After checking what NGM said, if it's still too angled you might want to turn the wedge shim around or get different ones. I believe the angle at the rear should be the same at the tranny. So the driveshaft angles down at the tranny, it should angle up at the rear, not down like it is.
Someone did a terrible do it yourself lift on this truck and messed it all up. Better check all lift mods and make sure everything is good.

Actually, shocks are the same, the close up pic does not show the boot in the near one.
I am going to totaaly re-do the rear suspension with near parts & proper installation, and have the tubes & weld plugs welded on the axle.

Make sure you point the rear down more than it is now, the pinion bearing is starving for oil the way it is now.
