My truck is only been getting 5mpg since ive bought it?! What is wrong!?

 

The members of this forum will be glad to help! But first we will need some more information.

Year, Engine, Miles, Drivetrain, and Driving style (Town?, Fast starts?, short trips?, long warm ups?) would be a great start and we can go from there.

A good tuneup should help a lot, but first you will want to pull your codes to see if the truck is telling you something is wrong.

 

Um it's average of 80 km driving some town. I get about 600km on two tanks adding to 120 liters. Itsa 302 1995 f150 supercab. I don't have the ability to pull codes either.

Mine was at 7 gpm I did fule filter and plugs and it went up to 11

is it 2wd, 4wd, what trans and rear end gears? i don't know about the codes.

 

It is 4x4 5 speed manual. 5th speed is overdrive. Noclue what rear gears?
