ok smartie hooked a volt meter up just like shown and ill be damned that didint work either it has fire to it all the time turn the key on nothing happens so now what

Not being a d!ck, are you sure you hooked everything up correctly for the test? We don't want to decide it's the computer in haste.

Look at the blank light spaces to the left of the "engine" light and you will see the unused "check engine" light, just so you can see for yourself.

When I was going to school to be a mechanic my teacher said when he worked at a dealership 90% of computers sold over the counter came back cause the problem was elsewhere

it doesnt matter to me right or wrong and yes have tried several times with every thing unhooked jumpers and all there is fire to all plugs on both connectors

with the key on or off makes no difference

okay never got the codes for truck but i called a friend of mine who is a mechanic he mainly works on fords and he told me to take a hammer and peck on the egr valve that it might be stuck and well it worked all sensors are hooked up now and it has done fine so far gonna wait till morning and see how it does after setting overnite if it does ok then im gonna take the egr off and clean it really have no idea whats up with the codes but i guess if it runs good i wont lose any sleep over it
