Default Fuel Pump

First question, where is the fuel pump on these trucks. I was told it's an in tank pump, but I've also read it's on the frame. Next question is where is the fuel pump relay and the fuel inertia valve.

Thanks, MIke

88 should have a pump in each tank (if you have two tanks), and one on the frame under the driver's door.

The relay should be mounted right behind the air box in the engine bay.

intertia valve? hell if I know...

If you mean the selector valve that directs the fuel to and from the proper tank then it's also on the frame near the high pressure pump.

Might be thinking of the inertia switch that cuts off fuel when you flip the truck on it's lid?

That would be in the truck on the firewall above the brake pedal, or behind the passenger side kick panel.

Sorry, my bracket is long gone so I have the relays screwed to the inner fender. They are little square boxes with a small wire harness plugged in to the bottom. They should be mounted to the air box (where you put the air filter in) on the side that faces the firewall.

So they're the two right together on the air box. Are they square?

Thanks, MIke

That's them. One is for the computer and one is for the pumps.

Do you know if it's the green one or the black one for the pumps.
