when i first read this, i was rolling my eyes and about to throw the BS flag... then i realized you are in Cali... i know they do some strange thing for Cali cars. i have never seen a roller camed f-150 pre-95, but it was probably a Cali thing.

A coalmine transpo that gets you to work faster & fuel efficiently! Just bump to 14 BTDC. You don't need the upgrade for that (or for 16BTDC), just a healthy Ingnition sys. I stayed at 14 for a month before creeping up to 16BTDC. Run Nic plated copper cores for a little safety buffer. You don't need to step up the rest of the ign. sys. unless you stretch your gap or sidegap. I make 700 mile runs non-stop (double tanks) @ 80 mph average, a couple times a year. No problems (except a $600 ticket last time / speed documented // 28 more hours, driving Cop cars to the car wash// Hardest thing I've ever done! Police Interceptor engines, All those buttons & switches, sirens, lights ..............."What the H*ll were they THINKING!!!! Am I getting set up?" .......... Just one 4 hour day at a time, I can do this!)

Hate to start this argument up again but,

My 94' F150 5.0L has a roller cam, and it's H.O. and it's MAF. I think the thing we're missing here is, if the vehicle came with California Emissions, like mine did. (Plus, MAF was only on automatic 94's. There are many pieces to the puzzle, friends)

My truck was orignially sold in Delaware, even in Maryland we only sell vehicles with California Emissions
