In the event of an EMP attack, what parts would need to be replaced on our trucks to get them running again?

sorry for the randomness of the question.

interesting video. It was my understanding that EMP will still destroy some parts on the vehicles that have computer chips and whatnot.

Basically if the truck was running when it happens, its toast. Most reliable vehicles that will still run after an EMP strike will be cars and motorcycles with point ignition and carburetors. So those with 7th gen F150's and older are in the clear

for those of us with 9th gen, what would need to be replaced to run as they are, or would need to be converted to be good to go in the event of?

[edit] basically, what im asking is, what spare parts would i need to have on hand in a HEMP shelter?

PCM for one, any computer controlled system would need to be replaced, ECM etc.

I bet that Ford PCM will survive the EMP attack, they're built Ford Tough....

Seriously, get a spare PCM and maybe a distributor (w/electronics) that way you'll have the electronics to make it run again.

Wouldn't the spares be ruined in the EMP also?
