The easiest and cheapest thing would just be to turn your garage into a big Tesla cage.

Otherwise, the rule of thumb for EMP is this: If it is electronic and has power, expect to replace it. For the trucks, if you are not running that should limit you to the ECM, maybe the radio, but when its off most of the major systems are powered down so you shouldn't have anything to worry about there.

In the name of survival, start gathering all the spare parts you can though. In that type of event, they will be hard to come by... Also, guns and ammo...

I have a ****ty old 74 pinto I keep around with hopes of converting to 2.3 turbo EFI - since it currently has points and a carburetor, it would probably not be effected at all in the event of an EMP. However once its converted to 87-88 EFI electronics.......... its anyones guess.

I could always slap a carb, intake, fuel pump and the points distributor back onto that engine tho and be all set.

Its a wagon which I believe was not affected by rear end collisions. It also has the 8" axle (no bolt holes in the rear cover to punch holes in the tank) and has a shield up front between the axle and tank anyways.
