Default Engine out. Recomendations?

I have a 1992 F150 4x4 with the 4.9 and a 5 speed trans. We have the motor, transmission, and transfer case pulled out.

I pulled the oil pan and gave it a fresh coat of paint and plan on replacing the oil pan gasket. We took the transmission off and checked the clutch and it looks almost brand new. I bought a rear main seal today and plan on putting that in as well.

My question is, What else would be good to replace while i have the engine out? I really don't want to have to tear the truck apart again any time soon.

Thanks,
Josh

I'd agree - while it's loose, get that oil pump replaced, front and rear main seals, oil pan gasket, maybe even consider the water pump and timing chain. And while you have 'em unhooked, replace the upper/lower radiator hoses on the way back in.

If you plan on getting rid of the smog pump, this would be a good time to do it - you'll actually be able to see where to thread in bolts in the back of the heads to block off the holes.

a improvment in power and MPG can be had with zero deck block and a felpro Z1024 head gasket this is a must for any 4.9 rebuild

The engine mounts were shot, they split into 2 pieces when we pulled the motor. The radiator hoses will be replaced because we cut the old ones when the motor was pulled out.
