A fiberglass flip up hood with a 3" cowl and a wood deck bed would look cool on that truck

Timing Chain?

The Ford 4.9L is Gear to Gear, no chain.

You didn't notice he has a 4.9L

But, you are right about replacing the other parts though.

4.9 engine, while youre replacing the valve cover gasket, check push rods and retorque the rocker arm nuts.These have a tendancy to loosen after bout 100 thousand miles. Thats why you hear alot of ticking in the head. Retorquing these nuts quiet it down alot and smooth out the idle.
