Default Electrical problem?

I was down my hunting camp on Friday and Saturday and had an issue with the truck. I was leaving Saturday morning, it was raining and windy so I didn't feel much like hunting, when I noticed the ABS light was on. One of the reasons it comes on is if your brake lights are not working. I pulled the truck to the side of the road and checked my lights and they were not working. I was getting back in the truck and the wind pushed the door shut, harder than I would if I were pulling the door closed. When this happened, the ABS light went out and the brake lights were functioning again. The ABS light did not come back on for the rest of the drive home, about 130 miles. Can anyone think of why the ABS light would go out when the door was shut hard?

Thanks!

thats kinda odd, I have had my brake light come on before, but it went out a few minutes later, possibly a bad sensor somewhere?

And just to hijack your thread, have you got anything yet this year? I'm not hunting this year (no time when I'm at school) but I did just chase a nice 8 pointer out of the back yard at our greenhouse.

Haven't gotten anything yet. Last week was early muzzle-loader and it was 85 degrees and humid on the first day and 59 degrees and rainy the other 2 days I was there. Yesterday, Friday 10/24, I saw a big 8 pointer at 9am, but this weekend is antlerless/doe only. So all I could do was watch him eat my corn. I will keep y'all updated as to my progress, or lack thereof.

I do bowhunt, I have a Redhead Kryptik compound bow, that I bought last year and a Ten-Point crossbow that I bought this year. I have had a sinus infection for about 3 weeks and have not really been able to go hunting. Kinda hard to hunt deer when you are coughing and your nose won't stop making snot. But I am mostly over the sinus thing now and will be going this coming weekend with my new crossbow.

I think your title should say "Deer hunters" or "Dear hunters". Anyways, I don't really have an explanation to your problem but I can say this. On my truck sometimes one of the brake lights won't work. It can be the left or the right, it trades off. Then when I use the blinker for that side the brake light will start working again. Then other oddball brake light issues sometimes but they always "heal" themselves. Yes I'm no help this time but at least my truck isn't the only one.
