Default DRL Module Location

Hey Guys,

On my ranger I found my DRL module fairly easily, however on my my F150, I can unable to locate it.

1994 F150 5.0L

Does anyone have a general idea of where this module is located? I would like to unplug it. Pictures would be great too if someone wanted so others may understand aswell.

Thanks!

I managed to find it.

Here you will two pictures. One if of the drivers side front corner of the truck. Lay down and take a peek under there, and you will see your DRL (atleast on a 1994 model). I have a picture of it attached to this aswell!

If you don't want DRL anymore, just unplug the harness from the module like I did!

I think '92 and up have the DRL. I don't think you can just unplug it, my diagrams show a jumper when the module isn't there. Make sure your lights are still working right if you removed it.

You can just unplug it. Same with my Ranger. Your lights will work just fine, although when you have your highbeams on it won't illuminate the indicator on the dash.

I really having my DRL module unplugged so I can have the lights totally off when needed.

I'm not sure what year it became mandatory, but you do need to have it in Canada now.

The advantage of not having it is that you can have your truck running without any lights on.

Hmmmmm! Sounds a little covert to me! Are the Banks open after dark in Canada? I guess there's always 7-11's stores. You got 7-11's up there? If you want to take the 5th, I understand. That's very popular in the U.S. too!

Well, we have these little igloo convenience store that you can hit up every now and then. Gotta keep the lights off, snow reflects light.

But in all reality, sometimes I just like to keep the engine running without having lights on, plus when it gets as cold as it does here, you really don't want to have that extra draw on the electrical system when trying to start at -40C
