I wanna grab a dome light or two out of van that I found at a salvage yard and install them in my wife's '94 and my '95. All I have in both trucks is the dome that operates off of the door or dimmer switch. I want one that has the separate left and right lights that operate separately and off of the door and dimmer switch. I've held off because I'm not sure how they are wired and they are not shaped right to mount in my truck. I'm guessing I'll leave the original hot wire in place and add another hot wire to operate the individual lighting? All I've found in the trucks at the salvage yard are the lights like I already have. Did any model come with the left and right domes from the factory? I'd like one with the right shape and able to mount without fabbing something up.

 

Mine has the center dome that works off the doors and the maps on each side that works off switchs on the light.

 

What year and package? Super cab?

 

mine has that too, supercab xlt with mark 3 interior package.

I have the same dome light as Nitehawk Jr, in two of my trucks. one is a 94 xlt, the other is a 90 Custom, both regular cabs

 

Mine is a 92 regular cab xlt

 

That's a pretty standard light. Came in a lot of Fords.
