Default Difference between 86 and 96 300 headers?

Im looking for header/s (not sure with this setup because of the lower and upper exhaust mani sections) for my 96 300. Ive seen them for 86's in lmc and 95's in jegs and summit but never for 96. Is this because the mid-year body change? Can someone tell me what i need or what will/wont work? Thanks ford fam!

Same bolt pattern for the '86 and '95, EXCEPT the later models have more bolts. I don't see why a '95 manifold wouldn't work on your '96 as they are the same motor, but I'm not betting any money on it. Probably because the '96 is OBDII so they didn't want to smog certify the header for those.

well i'm not a I-6 expert like sean but he says they should fit, and on the v-8 stuff i know like sean said, they don't want to mess with the smog stuff, so they just say to 95. the headers i ran for years were 87-95, i have a 96

Well i would assume (aftermarket anyway) it would be header, but see on the factory exhaust mani u have a front 3 exhaust bank then a back three exhaust bank, then they tie from 3 each to 1 then out. So basically its a 6-2-1.

My '87 I6 appears to have 2 separate factory exhaust manifolds.
