Decision help
Hey guys so Im kinda stuck. Here are my options tell me what you think.
1) Get gabriel overload shocks to level the front about 1.5''
2)Get subs and have them installed (2 10's or 12"s)
What do you guys think? I hate to admit it shes a road king not a mudder so thats why im not sure.

Subs! But the again I put my sub/box/amp together for about $90 dollars including the amp wiring kit and new speaker wire all around.
Where you gettin dual 10s or 12s from for the same price? Sign me up!

Bought a Dual brand 300w amp for $49 (and of course now 2 months later the 400w is the same price) and the sub/box I bought together from a buddy for $25. Had to customize a little to stop the rattles, but that's it. The sub itself is fine, all the plastic on the box rattled. A lot. So I took it off haha
So I've got about $200 sunk into my 480 watt system. $100 for the HU/6.5s/6x9s, $50 amp, $25 sub/box, $20 amp wiring, $13 for a lot of speaker wire
Best sounding system at school for the price!

Nice man! Let me know of your getting rid of anything. A couple of my friends have Sony zooids and they sound soo good I'm thinking about 1 12 with 500 watt or 2 with a 1200 watt amp. Did you install them? How hard?
Soon I may have a box to get rid of, but that'd be about it, I've got mechanical stuff to attend to before more stereo haha. Me and buddy are gonna make a ported box with some cupholders for this sub, so then I may have an extra box.
Installation was easy as hell, and some people may say it's not the most secure way to do it, but nothing has moved yet after more than a month and a lot of G-forces
Picture 1 is where I snaked the power wire for the amp through. That's a grommet into the passenger side kick panel area. Open your door about halfway if not more and you should see it, it's almost directly in line with your F150 fender badge. I got my power wire to that by running it from the engine bay, into one of the holes on the side of it, and then out there. So basically it's between the fender skin and the rest of the truck. Yes, there's a lot of room in there.
Picture 2 is where my sub is. Please excuse the weather strip on the floor and little speaker wire dangling under the dash, that's still gotta get cleaned up.
Amp is under the passenger side of the bench seat. Nothing is bolted down, but nothing moves so I don't see much point

Depends on how much you want the leveled look. Personally, I'm doing a leveling kit before I throw in a sub/amp, but my muffler also just fell off so I might have to bump up the priority of true duals...
Awesome man. How do you wire it to the deck tho? thats the only thing i dont know. Im a mechanical guy i can tear down the engine but when it comes to electronics im like say what? haha i have a friend that will do install for $25 maybe ill do that. I found 2 12's an amp and wiring on CL for $55 he just needs them gone. Im like yeah! haha then i may actually end up getting the shocks to from mulberry. Yay birthday money haha
Wiring into the deck as easy as all get out. You do have an aftermarket head unit, right?
If so, there should be a lone blue wire coming off it. I had two on mine, but they were labeled. One was for an extra antenna or something, the other was the Remote Turn On Wire for the amp. You need to splice into the remote turn on lead from the HU, and run it to the amp. That will allow the amp to turn on when the stereo turns on.
Next are the RCAs. Buy a decent set of them. You're going to plug into the RCA jacks on the back of the HU, and the RCA jacks on the amp. Those RCAs send the signal to the amp to make music. Then you're gonna run your speaker wire from the amp to your sub.
And of course, power wire hooks onto the positive battery terminal, and then the amp. Ground wire is hooked to the amp, and then take a self tapping screw and screw it in somewhere solid to ground it. I grounded mine to my floorboard behind my seat. MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING UNDER WHERE YOU'RE GOING TO DRILL otherwise you could hit a fuel or electrical line and...

And BAM! Done. If none of that made sense, I can dumb it down more if needed
