Dash light problems

Default Dash light problems

so tonight i realized that my gauges dont light up enough for me to see them when its dark. is there something wrong with my light switch? maybe a fuse?

have you tried turning the headlight ***... it makes them brighter

The gauges should illuminate when your headlights are on. They dim up and dOwn when you turn the ****. They get their power from a wire that plugs into your radio. Id have to check to see what color wire it is, but might be labeled on yours.

Its possible the rheostat (dimmer ****) could have dirt or oxidation on the contacts causing the lights not to get full voltage. Try spraying in some contact cleaner and working the switch. It might also be old or burnt out bulbs in the dash cluster.

They get their power from the parking lamp circuit. The dash light circuit gives the radio illumination too.
