Going to put a double din in my 96. It will be satellite ready receiver. Anyone put a factory XM antenna on our trucks, Ford antenna or any manufacturer. I like the look of the one on my 04 Tahoe. Again, just curious. Not too worried about having to drop the headliner for a hard mount, have to do that anyway when I do the fabric. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!

Yeah, I've seen that. I got the metra kit for now. Have any thoughts on roof XM antenna?

I have a satellite antenna that sits next to the base of my mast antenna that the PO left and it’s not hooked up. I have an XM unit add on but since I really don’t like satellite stations all that much (my wife has a subscription for her Infiniti QX56) I’ve not installed it. I just listen to iTunes played through my stereo by my phone....better variety, better selections....

the metra kit isn't terrible. Though recommend a shallow double din unit. This one require some talking to to get in there. Had to remove the support slide for the og unit. This one sits right on what I think is the duct work.

That OBS kit definitely looks nicer Frank. For sure. Maybe one day I'll get one.

Steve, got my metra kit of Amazon, if that's what you were asking.
