You should have received two sets of codes with the key on and engine off. First is the KOEO codes, followed by the stored (continuous memory) codes. Just so we're clear, these were KOEO and not stored?

Edit - scratch that, 123 is above range, not below. Sounds like your TPS may be adjusted wrong. Again, looking at the book will help immensely on this. I'll be home in a few hours and can grab the info.

That's the one. You're assuming he has an adjustable TPS. Doubt a 92' does.
Another possibility is someone at sometime, adjusted your throttle set screw. Very likely. check butterfly to insure proper closure.

Eh???? The 'throttle set screw' on the TPS -is- the adjustment. It's there specifically for that purpose, not adjusting curb idle or anything else.

Yeah engine was not running when I got this code. Just turned key to on position but did not turn on engine.

I just replaced the TPS about a week ago because it was idling high and seem to have a misfire.

Right, with the engine off there are two sets of codes. KOEO (repeated), separator code, then stored codes (repeated).

Grab a volt meter and check the voltage reading at the TPS. If everything is correct there at idle and moves progressively up to almost 5V at WOT, test the voltage reading on the TPS signal input to the ECU.

An adjustable TPS has one mount hole that is oval rather than a simple hole, allowing it to pivot on the other mount screw. Nothing to do w/ the throttle stop set screw.

However, the TSS screw being tampered w/ will cause the TPS to produce an abnormally high reading at idle.

I do have a multimeter but how do I check volts on a tps. I checked my old one using the ohms setting.

Well I just checked tps voltage and it ranged from under 1 to 5 on full throttle. Any one have any other ideas.
