If I kept the negative battery cable off for 30 minutes and put it back on and start the truck could that possibliy reset and fix the truck if it was my fault by touching the wrong prongs when trying to read the check engine light????

It would reset all codes, but not sure about the memory. I'm sure after bumping this someone else will come in and verify whether or not it will. I don't see the harm in doing it.

I tried and it is running worse....The truck struggle to hold an idle then stalls........Im thinking fuel pump??? Both fuel pumps are originals from 1993........The rear quit awhile back...Could the truck still start with two bad fuel pumps then consistently stall?? I thought if a fuel pump went the car wouldnt even start. Is there a code for a faulty fuel pump or do I just have to check the fuel pressure on the rail??? What should that pressure be?

Sorry for all the questions but I need her back up and running ASAP...

Thank you guys!

The pressure should be between 50-60PSI. When you turn the key to ON, but the engine is still off do you hear anything? You should hear a bit of a whirring sound when the pumps come on and pressurize the fuel system.

Also, for KOEO codes.
87 and/ or 556- Fuel Pump circuit failure.
95 and/ or 542- Fuel Pump circuit failure - PCM to GRD
96 and/ or 543- Fuel Pump circuit failure - Battery to PCM

It would clear the ROM memory (Kept adaptive memory).

Buy one of these for $23. Digital numeric display w/ memory (so you don't have to scramble to write them down during scans). Found in stores for no more than $30. The optional cable allows you to sit in driver's seat while scanning. Nice to have, but not required.

To clear all codes you need to plug everything in like you're reading CEL codes then I think you turn the key off during the flashing
