Default Which Clutch?

Ok, so my daughters 1993 F-150 4x4 with inline 6 and 5-speed manual dumped the clutch on us today. Is there a particular "best" buy out there for a new clutch kit or the likes?

Thanks,
Chuck

LuK makes a good clutch you can pick one up from autozone for about 170 for the regular and 220 for the prefromance model. Your will need the 10 inch.

Thanks, that is what I was looking at and was wondering 11" or 10". I figured 10" just based on the small engine and such but thanks for the input it is much appreciated.

11 inch is just an upgrade but you would need a new flywheel. The 10 is just direct replacment. the internal slave will come with the kit. Get yourself some quick disconnect tools if you dont already have them for disconnecting the slave.

I was told the flywheel has both bolt patterns for the 10 inch or 11 inch clutch. I didn't pay that much attention but when I swapped from the 4 speed to 5 speed the 4 speed had the 11 inch and the 5 speed had the 10 inch. I didn't change the flywheel but the 10 inch bolted right in. I used the 10 inch because it seemed to have a slightly different installed thickness and didn't want any problems.

The flywheel does have both bolt patterns, but you need to have your flywheel resurfaced or replace it when upgrading to a 11 inch so that it does not wear uneven because the clutch covers more area on the flywheel. I just went to a 4 speed because my 5 speed was garbage.

the last clutch kit I bought had a release tool with it. if it has the slave cylinder it may have the tool also.
