So mine doesn't have 2 cats is that what your getting at?? Lol I just assumed that's what it is because it looks very similar to the one before it, but if it is in fact a resonator what purpose does it serve??

And to answer your question, is a little extra noise worth eliminating equipment that serves a legitimate purpose, no. But most of us truck folks know what sound we like and it's often the easiest way to achieve that sound
