I know what you mean, but I meant to mount it further under so it doesn't stick out of the back so much.

O I get ya!! Lol ok well I'm under there tomorrow I will lift it up and vice grip it to the frame and see if I can make the stock hitch work with this bumper. I'm curios now!! It will still be low but not stick out!

Yeh, I guess I have a thing about adding weight. I like your concept, but I would want some fender protection. I've been hit twice in parking lots by women in Excursions. One lady hit me after looking right at me through her mirror. Started heading my way, I yelled, she hit the gas instead of the brake. Paid for a three day fishing trip to the shore!

That awesome! The bumper Is lighter then stock because it's not so bulky.

Thanks!! Ya I wanted it to be low profile like a roll pan but stronger then stock! I could have made it stick out but I wanted it to sit into the box like a roll pan. If you think it looks good now wait till it's done!!!

Well here's some progress pics! Here it is all finished welded and in bare steal. The D ring shackle mounts were a pain to build because I had to weld 2 pieces of 1/4 inch steal together to get the thickness I wanted. Next time I'll wait and buy some 1/2 inch thick steal! Lol
