Yes Sean they are but bolt on hitches are made to go under a stock bumper and back as far as the stock bumper sticks out. So a stock bolt on hitch with a roll pan looks retarded! And hangs about 4 inches lower then the roll pan! But if you custom build it to sit close to the roll pan...then you got a sweet set up!
It might look a little bit odd but you have the extraction point you were worried about losing. I don't think it would look bad, especially if you mounted it properly.

Make one out of exhaust tubing, ... lighter & multiple angle sharp bends are available from Jegs/ Sumit & Ebay in mandrel bent pieces, many sizes. Powder coat for total custom!

The front tire is off the truck and it's sitting on a jack stand. That's y it looks like that.

Thanks!! Ya I wanted it to be low profile like a roll pan but stronger then stock! I could have made it stick out but I wanted it to sit into the box like a roll pan. If you think it looks good now wait till it's done!!!

Just for you Sean I will take the stock hitch and bolt it back on to show you how far it sticks out and how low it sits. Lol

No!! Lol this is 2 3/8" oil field tubing!! Super strong!!! Exhaust tubing...not so much!!lol
