My cat is split down the sound, will anything be affected if I cut it out until I can replace it

 

Don't even bother replacing it just hollow it out and smash a straight pipe down the center of it

 

The only reason I say replace it is cause I have an extra but nothing bad can come from not having an exhaust from precat back?

 

This is only temporary, until I get all the piping and time

sounds like crap,. your fuel econamy will go down, you'll prolly get pulled over for it being to loud, and when they look under it and your cat is gone you'll get another ticket for that. it is illegal to remove smog equipment from a polution controlled vehicle.

 

I know its illegal, but as far as sounding like crap it can't sound worse then it does now.

 

i've never heard of a cop actually looking under your vehicle to make sure it has a cat that sounds pretty dumb to me.

 

My truck sounds really good for only having a hollow cat
