I've seen more of the chrome maps than any other and mostly in the reg cabs. I really don't like the chrome. Wish they would have made a different one with maps for the reg cab. I've eyed a couple of overhead center consoles in some custom xcab 150's and 250's. Most are in pretty rough shape though. I think it would be cool, but all the wood is pretty much rotten and compartment doors missing.

1FTDF15Y6SLC02010 - you seem to have a line on allot of this info. If you come up with some kind of "Compatibility List", you'll go viral with us 9th gen owners. I'd love to see something like a "Direct Swap List". If you want to tackle that, I'd volunteer to try to help out on my days off. Radiators, Radios, Rear Diff's, Etc. Users can submit direct swaps and someone could add them to a posted list.

Just South of Shreveport, La.

I'm in the same boat as 1FTDF15Y6SLC02010. We've got about 15 yards within 20 miles. One of the yards pulls all of the parts and stocks them on shelves in their warehouse. Pricey though. You can walk in and pick just about any engine or part you could imagine. Wiring, computer and the complete turn key engine. They won't let you on the yard to pull parts unless your cutting quarter panels or pulling whole beds and such. It's getting harder to get parts at some yards due to liability issues. I tried to get the yard to pick up my cab guard with the bed rails with their fork lift and they wouldn't do it. You have to find a cart or hoist to carry out your own engines and larger parts and they won't let you drive onto the yard and load a part. We had to tote my cab guard about 100 yards to the parking lot. I've seen guys lately having to bring 5 or 6 people with them to carry engines out by hand. Some yards are charging $25 to lift a truck so you can ****** the rear end out and then charge you again to carry it out to the parking lot.

yeah i love pickin junkyards for fords but one thing ive learned over the years are that very few parts are 'direct swap' although they were used in same generation trucks ive always had to modify or tweek parts to fit if truck wasn't originally equipped with that exact part.

I live in junkyard heaven. Minutes away from you pull it three more parts yards within twenty minute drive and an hour away from an LKQ that only deals in 2000 and up parts and Ohio is right next door for donors I've always seen the split bulb map lights not many others though sadly

nearest pick-n-pull to me is east saint louis, and your more likely to lose more parts off the car you drive up there, then you can get out of the yard......

and the yards near me only want to sell to body shops, shops, and dealers. walkin off the street and they wont talk to you at all.
