Umm... Jerking? Did anyone ever stop to think it could be his transmission? Check the fluid, if its brown or smells burnt flush it out. Buildup in the tranny can cause the gears to have problems while shifting. Lets see... the clutches in between the gears could be worn bad... causing it to slip and jerk. if thats the case then youll need an overhaul... more $$$ you should know there is no cheap way to fix a transmission...

Trust me... ive seen this happen to my brother and his Allison transmission 4 times over the past 10 years...

Ok, My husband has a 2004, and it is jerking as well. It does it more often when in cruise, and then when we get to about 40 mph. It just started this about 3 months ago. And one other ?, is when we slow down it shakes really bad. The brakes are not making any noise, but we did go ahead buy brakes. We have had this truck about 6 years and it was doing it then, but not near as bad as now. Do either of these go hand in hand?. HELP please! Don't even know where to begin to look?

Well to begin with you are in the wrong section. This area is for pre 97 trucks. You want the late model section. However the first thing to do is to figure out when and how it is jerking. Does it do it when there is a load ( ie accelerating ) or when you are cruising or when your braking. Does it stop if you take it out if gear. If not its more likely the wheels brakes or suspension. If it stops when in neutral it is likely in the drive line. Its always a good idea to check the system for error codes. You can buy a reader for around $30 or many places will read your codes for free.
