88 resurrection problems
Update!!!
After all was tested and looked good, I finally woke up and thought "well, the computer says there is something wrong in the manifold absolute pressure area and I've checked everything else so let's see what happens when I unplug the MAP sensor". Do you want to know what happens when you disconnect the MAP sensor? The truck starts running fine. That's what happens when you disconnect the MAP sensor. Any way I'm off to the DMV to register it and then Checkers to get a new MAP sensor. Pro lem appears solved. Again, thanks to everyone for their input.

After a new radiator and topping off the tyranny fluid and power steering, I drove the truck on the highway for the first time ever. I Hopper the in tank sending unit is bad because it went from almost empty to over full on 5 gallons of Haas. But it ran and rode pretty good. Ill take a few more short trips before I load up all my tools and parts.

Just unplugged the electrical connection, just like you suggested about 10 to 15 posts ago. I was just so sure that it wouldn't cause the problem I was having and was sooooo focused on fuel that I kind of skipped right over that part of your post.

A couple of new things now that I'm driving the truck around. After about 100 miles in mostly short trips I went to start it and it wouldn't turn over. Git out and shorted across the solenoid and she fired to life. I'm thinking neutral safety switch, but is there anything else that commonly goes bad here? Other thing is the turning radius. It turns a lot tighter to the right than to the left. Is that common or did someone else screw something up? Last thing is its acting like its vapor locking. When hot if I let it idle for a bit (the other day it idled for about 15 minutes, today about 2) it sluggers a little then dies. It tries to start but wont until it cools down, then fires right up. I thought vapor lock was a thing of the past with fuel injection. Thanks
Please try to read through some of the wording on my posts. My phone keeps posting what it thinks I wanted it to say, not what I actually wanted it to say, and sometimes neither of those is close to what I actually typed.
Check you base timing to see if it's retarded. 10 BTDC is stock, & that's what you want till you get the bugs out. (remove spout plug when checking or adjusting base timing)
Also, did you disconnect the battery for 5 minutes after you replaced the MAP, to clear the KAM (Kept adaptive memory)?

Ill reactivate the search and notify you if you'll let me know price range and areas your willing to go to get it. I saw a lot if them in the $400 to $600 range and a few nice ones above $2000. I appreciate the parts offer. I'll let you know if I can identify the problem area.
Thanks
