Typical first post. So did this happen in 1990? Or were you born in 1990? Oh wait, your truck is 1990!!!! I get it. But wait. Im just going to assume your 1990 f-350 has a 7.3 liter diesel engine. And its a crew cab long bad with dual tanks right??? Or wait, is it an f-150 with a straight six, regular cab short bed. Oh. It must have that 12 speed allison transmission too. And its got 6 wheel drive. And its lifted to the sky with 48's right??? Or are they 29" drag radials???

MORE INFO!!!

What you gave us is equivelant of going into a hardware store empty handed sayig you need a bolt. And thats it.

Well, to start off, check your codes. There is a sticky on the top of the main page of the 1987-1996 Section. Or if you already have an OBD1 Code Reader, use it!

As for being jerky, check your wheel bearings or get your tires balanced.
