Default Battery cable replacement

I need to replace both cables. I called the dealer and they said they are no longer available. Where do you recommend I find a replacement? 96 302

I found the negative wire on Amazon. The part number matched oem however it is not long enough. Would there be problem using one negative cable from the battery to the block and another from the block to the starter bolt?

I am going to use two cables for the ground. Any idea where the ground strap connecting points should be? Also, is there any reason to use straps vs cable?

Strap is more flexible, but less durable. What exactly is wrong with the original cables? They're the best, and you know they fit.

One of them is broken and frayed. I mainly want to make sure I am not missing any. Someone shared this on another group.

It's nearly always better to just repair the factory wiring than to attempt to replace it.

I should have been more clear. The negative cable looked to be oem however the prior owner butchered it trying to put new terminals on it. It was cut too short. The positive cable was not oem. I have a reputable shop that builds custom cables. I am probably going to have them build some.

If you follow those links, you'll see how easy & cheap it is to DIY. Even the frame ground tab.

Does it matter if I ground it to the frame vs the block? My ground goes to the block.
