Default Speaker Size

What size speakers do I need for a 90' f150 xlt lariat regular cab? I am looking for some decent quality speakers under $100 if you have some too recommend that'd be great!

Not sure about your '90 model, but my '92 has 5x7 (6x8 also works) in the back. I think 6.5s in the doors...might be 6", but I put 6.5s in by drilling some new holes. I tried some cheap Kenwood and Pioneer speakers, but they were terrible. An audio guy suggested "Pheonix Gold" brand. A little harder to find, but sound great for the $ and you should be able to buy 4 (shipped) on eBay for$100 or less.

Any pair of speakers in the $50-$100 will be a noticeable upgrade. Infinity Kappa are at the top of that price range and sound awesome! Infinity Reference arent bad either and are cheaper.

check out planet audio products, 30 bucks a pair on amazon, and couldnt be happier, they are nice and loud, clear too, great quality for the price.

i've got them in the doors and the cab corners, had to trim out the door just a bit but it was worth it.

i'm running the anarchy series.

Your 90 only has speakers in the doors and not the back. I put 6.5" kicker door speakers in mine and they sound great. Paid $45 on amazon

Thanks those are the ones I was looking into. But I'm not sure if you got the message but how did you do the camo interior on your truck? It looks sooo nice!

No I didn't and thanks! I just bought some camo cloth at a hobby store and got some glue in a spray can and cut the pieces a little big and glued to what was already there and pulled it tight. If you take your door panels off those Inserts pop out

It is 6.5". The cut out is around 5". Not all 6.5" speakers will fit. I got the kickers mentioned above and the sound great.
