Default Insulation

I am about to just sound deaden my doors for now, but while I'm in there I want something to also help insulate the doors, more than what the sound deadening would do. I'm thinking cutting up towels and putting it on the back side of the door panel. What would be the best cheap material to put here, I'm assuming this area stays dry, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't want anything permanent, but to be permanent if I decide to leave it. I'm looking something to do this in addition to the deadened, not a two in one type thing. I know they have stuff made for insulating cars, but I want cheap.

Towels won't work as they absorb allot moisture and the cab will smell like mold, not to mention it will rust out the inside of the doors.

There are products out there that you can use cheap, the most common I've seen is aluminum wrapped foam so it won't absorb moisture and won't mold. Its more of a radiant heat barrier then actual heating insulation so in the summer time keeps the cab cooler.

So the back side of the plastic door panel does get wet? I don't want mold, I'm allergic to it and it will kill my allergies and stink. So how much is this foam?

Could this work as a sound deadened too?

Looks similar to it, the stuff I'm referring to and I'm drawn a blank for the name of it has a closed cell polyurethane foam with foil on each side. The only thing you would have to do is find a way to stick it where you need it, either double sided tape or glued.

I've torn apart interiors to get out mold and other smells for things like old towels, blankets, t-shirts and actual pink foam from cars attempting to insulate them. Its a nasty job and the moldy mildew smell never really goes away without a complete interior replacement.

I know I said not a two in one type thing, but at .50 cents to $3 per square meter, that's a nice price. I don't see any problems with it holding up to heat, so what type of adhesive would I use to keep it on?

Remember it won't necessarily hold in heat, it just repels it. Either some good 2 sided tape or glue/body panel adhesive to hold them in place.

Just saw your other post. So what would be good as an insulation like housing insulation, not inferred heat insulation, but keep warm air in cold air out, cold air in warm air out type thing.
