The inside of the door does in fact get wet. Put the sound deadener outside the door between the door panel and the door frame. Use the material recommended above.

Ok thanks guys. Yea, the stuff your talking about is peel and seal, but it will melt in the summers here in Alabama. I don't want to risk that.

Dynamat is expensive, but the boss has a Road Runner, a Rebel Machine, a 442 and a Challenger in the shop at work all getting their final restoration items installed and the Dynamat is incredible. Heat resistance and sound deadening are incredible. It's sticky on one side and conforms to the shape of panels and floors almost like aluminum tape. I was very impressed, especially when they were able to ship it premolded. I know I'd never heard of a Rebel Machine, so in case anyone has not seen or heard of it, here's a pic. This thing just makes your adrenaline flow when it's cranked up. It's all original down to the NASCAR Brand Tires. This thing was a beast from the factory.

100 degrees isn't uncommon, and 110 even possibly 115 on brutal days isn't unheard of. Although the common hot day we get at least once a week is 100-105. Most days are upper 90s.

I was going to put mlv in as a sound deadener, and I was just wonder what I could use as insulation, although the mlv would some. It is some heavy stuff, weighing 1-2 lbs per square foot. I've hear of read about dynamite a lot, and came to the conclusion that at this point in time, although it works well, you are paying for the name. There seems to be other stuff out there that works just as we'll, but I don't want asphalt based stuff. Because I go south to, Florida quite often, and places like Texas isn't out of question in this truck, I have family there. It also needs to hold up to the cold, as Alabama can get cold, we just had days with lows in the single disgusts and highs in the upper 20s with that cold snap the country has. And I also have family in upstate newyork, so it has to handle that too. Any temperature possibility it needs to hold up too.
