Default Body Part Needed!!!

Hey all...I'm located in central Iowa, in need of a hood. I need one dent free and totally rust free. They tend to rust along the seam right up under the front lip, looking for one that has zero signs of rust there or anywhere else and am not having any luck finding one. Have checked the pick and pull yards and they are either starting to rust or beat up. Anyone? Anyone?

If you took the drive up to Canada I know of a white rust free hood on a 95.

Did you look that up somehow or good guess? Sounds about right. I'm just starting to wonder if I can find a good one around here. Hate to buy one sight unseen. Anyone but one from LMCTRUCK? Anyone have one they want to donate to a good cause? LOL

Call some local body shops and see where they get their new replacement parts from.

A friend of mine has done auto body for about 25 years, he said to find a Ford hood if possible. I just didn't think it would be very hard....wrong. he is going to help me with the bodywork on my truck. Shouldn't be long now and she will be looking good once again. Will be s little slow as he works some weekends...such as tomorrow...after work generally doesn't work...our if I'm busy on the weekend...but soon. I was going to do it all myself. Not looking for show quality, just rust free and new paint...but for$500 he offered to do the bodywork...I just buy supplies and beer.

rock auto has them for 167.79 plus shipping.

OR go to your quality body shop, most have contracts with the body parts companies so they dont pay shipping.

Anything large goes truck freight. Everything I have ordered or want to order that must go truck freight was $100 for shipping, including the hood I once ordered. You may be able to get it cheaper if you have a body shop order it for you and they include it in their regular shipping order. I can get one quarter panel shipped truck freight for $100 or both sides shipped for $100.
