Default Power Steering Pump Pulley Q

Easier to pull of the old pump and re-use or just buy a new one? If I get a new one, does it matter which brand i purchased? I mean, I got the PS Pump from Rock Auto...can I just go into Pep Boys or whatever and get a Pulley and it'll fit fine?

If you have a metal pulley on it, just re use it. Plastic ones are prone to break easy.

You can't get the pump off the bracket unless you remove the pulley.

Just rent the puller...you'll need it to install the new pulley anyway. Just did this job last weekend...spent more time screwing with the hoses than actually bolting everything up. Do yourself a favor and buy a new high pressure line. I would have when I did mine except it would have to be ordered in and I had to get it back on the road that evening. No leaks so far though :whistling:
