Hi i have a 1994 f150 with auto locking hubs and push button 4x4 when i push the button there are no lights and no clicking sound. it has worked before and just worked the other day. But now has stopped working does anybody know how to test the switch or any help would be appericated thanks.

 

Mine is a manual transfer case but I am pretty sure that when you actuate the switch on the dash it either puts a ground or puts 12 vdc to the solenoid mounted the the back of the t case.

 

Sounds like the solenoid is out or malfunctioning or you just need a new fuse so start there. IF its not the fuse you will need a multi-meter and possibly a friend to push the switch while testing. First test the wiring harness at the plug for the solenoid for 12-14 volts. If you have good power there then i would pull the solenoid out and see if it works off of the t-case. If it doesn't then you need a new one
