Default Part identification help

My son bought a 1995 F150, 6-cylinder, and he is using it as his introduction to DIY work. We are seeking advice in identifying the assembly below, at which there is a leak. Thank you!

Damn straight, that's a fuel pressure damper
Are you sure that is not oil (from somewhere else) all over it?
If leaking fuel, it should be clean around the leak
Looks like to me the oil is from somewhere else, possibly the valve cover

Thanks, all. Definitely a fuel pulse/pressure damper, that is helpful. Apple - I think that may be a fuel pressure regulator instead, but I'm not very skilled in these things myself.
My son verified that the leak is an oil leak originating from elsewhere -- good call, manic mechanic!

FPR has the red vacuum. line attached - I was wondering as to the other device upstream from the regulator

Not a big though as everything works fine!

That's the fuel line fitting that connects the return fuel line to the fuel rail.
Flow returns through the regulator.

That style has the pulse damper built into the pump module in the tank Soup
His is a 6 pop (45 psi)
I cannot recall which all cars / trucks had that particular fuel pulse damper, (like smoonen has), but the little thing in the tank, on the other style pump modules, has what looks like a miniature master cylinder.
That is the pulse damper for your style Soup, (in the tank)

Thank You Soup! Thank You MMechanic!

Pump in my rear tank is little more than 3 months old and has failed again *sigh* Gonna have to r & r one more time...

Really scared me as starving of fuel made it buck and clunk pretty violently and throw check engine light, huge relief when simply switching tanks cured it hehe
