Default Occacional clunking

I have some occasional clunking at low speed sharp turns in my limited slip 8.8 that has come about all of the sudden. I have some metal shavings on the fill plug. What is this typical of? My limited slip upgrade is about 1 year old but the spiders were worn. Ring and pinion looked brand new and same shims were used. No whining or anything. What should I chack for if I crack the lid off the back? Was not low on fluid. Friction modifier was added when the upgrade was done.

I thought that was normal for a LS. The clutches grabbing and releasing.

Well, the spiders do spin when you're turning. I would suspect them since you said they were worn.
